Professor Ogunbiyi achieved the distinguished rank of Professor of Anatomical Pathology in 1999 at the College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, and has served as Honorary Consultant Pathologist at University College Hospital Ibadan since 1990.
His academic leadership spans multiple crucial administrative roles, having served as Sub-dean for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate Studies in the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences. He has also held the position of Head of Department for two separate four-year terms, demonstrating sustained excellence in departmental leadership.
As an external examiner, Professor Ogunbiyi has evaluated candidates across numerous local and regional medical schools and Colleges, contributing significantly to maintaining high standards in medical education throughout West Africa.
