Chairman WACP Nigeria Chapter

Celebrating a Legacy of Excellence

"As we mark this momentous Golden Jubilee, we celebrate not just 50 years of existence, but five decades of transformative impact on healthcare delivery across Nigeria and West Africa."

From our humble beginnings in 1976, with fewer than ten physicians at UCH Ibadan; only one of whom was Nigerian, the distinguished Prof. Oladipo Akinkugbeβ€”to our current strength of thousands of members and fellows, our journey exemplifies dedication, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

The Nigeria Chapter has remained the cornerstone of WACP, leading in training, examination, and the production of world-class physicians who continue to elevate healthcare standards across our region and beyond.

As we return to where it all started - UCH Ibadan, Nigeria's first teaching hospital - we honor our past, celebrate our present, and commit to an even brighter future of medical excellence.
